Unlike most of the other Sea Scouting events, the Gerry Hickey Cup is intended to not have a ‘Home’ and be hosted annually by other Cub Packs to support the network and connectivity of the Cub Packs.
The event also links up with the Clean Coasts to impress on Cubs the importance of looking after your local environment.

2023: 9th Port of Dublin (Malahide) – 351 points

Gerry Hickey

A lifelong Sea Scouter, Gerry lived the Scout Promise making a commitment to do ones best. That often spilled over to help his fellow scouts in no matter way he could.
An Officer Mariner spending several years at sea before returning to shore as a Provincial Support Officer with Scouting Ireland.
Gerry dedicated his life supporting the Scouting Programme and his fellow Scouters.
He had a wicked sense of humour often captured by his extraordinary love for photography.
An archive that will stand the test of time.
